The following obituary appeared in the April 28, 2001, edition of The Oregonian (Portland): Jacquetta Irene Walston A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2001, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Jacquetta Irene Walston, who died April 25 at age 62. Mrs. Walston was born Jacquetta Irene Stout on Feb. 13, 1939, in Quinter, Kan. She moved to Prineville in 1949 and attended school there. She moved to Portland in 1975 and held several jobs, including teller, for First Interstate Bank for 11 years until retiring in 1995. She then worked for the family concrete business. In 1974, she married Billy G. Walston. Survivors include her husband; daughters, Athena Will, Kelly Stacey and BessieJo Wagner; stepdaughter, Anita Wilkey; sons, Frank Beatty and Jeffrey Walston; stepson, Richard Walston; mother, Bessie Stout; sisters, Wanda Mitchell, Louise Puckett and Diana Seaquist; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her stepson Billy W. Walston died in 1982. Remembrances to Adventist Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Scholarship Fund.
