Little did I know that there are so many Stout entries! My birth father’s name is Charles Robert-Bruce Stout, but I know little of him. Though I have met him a few times, I only know what I had to fill out when I enlisted in the Navy-not much. I am new to genealogy and from the looks of it, am a bit intimidated. The realization that within a few generations our “parents” can become too numerous to follow, is quite daunting. I am unsure of where to begin or what exactly I’m looking for. I do want to follow a line through the 10th century and beyond but I know so little of both my mother’s and father’s family. Through a thousand years there are literally hundreds of thousands of avenues to consider. Well, I know I’m Stout and that’s where I’ll begin…
