Does any one have any sources that refer to Gen Washington and Gen Lafayette being headquartered at the Stout home? I have another ancestor John Hunt who lived in Hopewell at the time. I believe it was his home that a council of war was held (see below). It was not until my father's parents were married that the Hunt and Stout line came together. It would be great to verify that both of their ancestors were involved in the Battle at Monmouth.
