The following obituary appeared in the April 14, 2001, edition of the Hutchinson (Kansas) News: Dustin J. Stout PLAINS - Dustin J. Stout, 25, died April 12, 2001, at Plains. He was born June 11, 1975, at Chadron, Neb., the son of Ron and Mary Barragar Stout. He attended school in Goering, Neb. A resident of Plains since 2000, moving from Meade, he worked in construction for Western Kansas for Borton Inc., Hutchinson. On Dec. 17, 1999, he married Lori S. Smith at Meade. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Zach and Cameron, both of the home, and Adam, Nebraska; his father, South Dakota; a brother, Shane, North Platte, Neb.; and his grandparents, Bob and Kathryn Barragar, Torington, Wyo. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Plains United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Dick Robins and Vernon Maezler presiding. Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation. Memorials may be sent to the Dustin J. Stout Memorial Fund, in care of Plains State Bank or Miller Mortuary, Liberal.
