    3. The following obituary appeared in the April 25, 2001, edition of the Salt Lake (Utah) Tribune: Robert Byron Stout Wednesday, April 25, 2001 Robert B. Stout passed away due to heart failure following complications of surgery in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, April 17, 2001. He was born on December 30, 1927 in Ft. Myers, Florida to Frank and Imogene Stout. He was one of six sons. He joined the Marines at age 19, where he served in Korea and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After completing seven years of service, he received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering at San Jose State University. He also pursued a Master's degree at Santa Clara University. He worked for several years at Varian & Associates in California. He then worked for Linton Corporation for 21 years as an electrical engineer, 19 of which were in Salt Lake City. He married Gladys Marie Hansen and they had four children. They later divorced. He married Carol Anne Johnson and they had one daughter, Lisa Anne Stout. They lived in Sandy, Utah for 21 years, however most recently they lived in Henderson, NV. He is survived by his wife, Carol and his five children; Leslye (Joe), Robert Jr. (Ann), Paul (Carolene), Jim (Kergan), and Lisa; two brothers, Frank Jr. and David Stout; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Neptune Society is handling his memorial service where his ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean, outside of San Diego, California, one of his favorite places.
