SIXTH GENERATION John STOUT (Richard-5, John-4, John-3, Richard-2, John-1) was born on 25 Dec 1747 in Freehold, Monmouth Co., NJ.. He died on 17 Feb 1837 in Freehold, Monmouth Co., NJ.. He was buried in Freehold, NJ. Cemetery.. Served in NJ. Militia during the Revolution, petitioned 14 Apr 1834 in Monmouth Co., NJ. Received land in fathers Will in 1786. Resided in Squancum, removed to Herbertvill then back to Squancum. He was married to Elizabeth CURTIS in NJ?. John STOUT and Elizabeth CURTIS had the following children: i. Stephen STOUT was born in Monmouth Co., NJ.. ii. Richard STOUT was born about 1789 in Monmouth, Ocean Co., NJ.. He died in Lenawee Co., MI.. He was buried in Lenawee Co., MI.. Served as a Sgt. during the War of 1812. Removed to Fairfield, Lenawee Co., MI. where the family resided in 1850. iii. David STOUT (born on 14 Jun 1796). (Samuel Stout, 1826, father) iv. Elsie STOUT was born in Monmouth Co., NJ.. v. Lydia STOUT was born in Monmouth Co., NJ.. vi. Katie STOUT was born in Monmouth Co., NJ.. SEVENTH GENERATION David STOUT (John-6, Richard-5, John-4, John-3, Richard-2, John-1) was born on 14 Jun 1796 in Monmouth Co., NJ.. He died on 17 Aug 1856 in Bethany, Bartholmew Co., IN.. David served 3 years during the War of 1812, then in 1838 removed to Belmont Co., OH. and on to Brown Co., IN. in 1853. He is reported t0 be 6' tall, dark hair, blue eye and fair complexion. He was married to Isabel CURTIS on 17 Nov 1822 in Monmouth, NJ.. Isabel CURTIS was born in 1801 in Howell Twp., Monmouth Co., NJ.. She died in 1884. Isabella was widowed and resident in Ohio Twp., Bartholomew Co., IN. (pg 186C) at the time of the 1880 census and reports both parents were born in NJ. She was resident in the home of son in law Hiram and daughter Lydia HARDIN who were farming. David STOUT and Isabel CURTIS had the following children: i. Sarah STOUT was born on 28 Aug 1823. She died on 20 Aug 1845. ii. Mary Hannah STOUT was born on 30 Nov 1824. She died on 3 May 1878. iii. Samuel STOUT (born on 12 Jun 1826). (my g-granddad) iv. George Washington STOUT was born on 28 Dec 1828 in Monmouth Co., NJ.. He died on 25 Jun 1881 in Alledonia, Belmont Co., OH.. He was buried in Bealsville, OH.. George, wife Elisabeth and children were resident in Washington Twp., Belmont Co., OH. (pg 443) in 1870 and (pg 466 A) during the 1880 census where he was farming, and also reports his father born NJ. and mother in OH. v. Deborah STOUT was born on 10 Jan 1831. She died on 12 Dec 1911. vi. Joseph Tilton STOUT was born on 31 Oct 1832 in NJ.. He died in 1913 in IN?. Joseph, wife Mahala and children were resident in Moores Vineyard, Bartholomew Co., IN. (pg 209) in 1870 where he was farming. vii. Benjamin Lafetra STOUT Alt. Birth on 1 Apr 1834 in NJ.. He was born on 11 Apr 1834 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH.. He died on 22 Dec 1905 in Harvel, Montgomery Co., IL.. Benjamin, wife Matilda and family were resident in Bedford Twp., Wayne Co., IL. (ED 141-24) during the 1880 census, and reports both parents born NJ. viii. John Henry STOUT was born on 7 Mar 1837. He died on 17 Jul 1853. Reported to have never married. ix. Alice Ann STOUT was born on 1 Jan 1841. x. Lydia Ann STOUT was born on 20 Aug 1844 in NJ.. She died on 23 May 1923 in Columbus, IN.. Lydia, husband Hiram and children were resident in Ohio Twp., Bartholomew Co., IN. (pg 186C) at the time of the 1880 census with her mother and father in law, Thomas HARDIN age 73 born PA. Thomas reports both parents born in PA.
