The following obituary appeared in the May 12, 2001, edition of the Independence (Missouri) Examiner: Alvin E. Stout Sr. Alvin E. Stout Sr., 64, Independence, died Thursday, May 10, 2001, at Independence Regional Health Center. Mr. Stout was born Oct. 22, 1936, in Stillwater, Okla. He worked for Sovereign Security Systems Inc. for several years. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Goodson, and a stepdaughter, Patricia Brown. His survivors include his wife, Geraldine Stout, of the home; two daughters, Debra Foster, and her husband, Chris, Ponca City, Okla., and Katherine Caddy, and her husband, Wayne, Ponca City; two sons, Alvin Stout Jr. and his wife, Christy, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Ronald Blentlinger and his wife, Debbie, Louisiana, Mo.; a brother, Lester Wayne Stout, Arkansas City, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Larry E. Husk, Bowling Green, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sheil-Blackman Funeral Home; cremation. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.
