The following obituary appeared in the June 25, 2001, edition of the (Portland) Oregonian: Frank Hughes Stout A service will be at noon Monday, June 25, 2001, in Willamette National Cemetery for Frank Hughes Stout, who died June 19 at age 84. Mr. Stout was born June 23, 1916, in Reydon, Okla. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. He moved to Portland in 1945 and was a crane operator for Oregon Steel Mill for almost 30 years, retiring in 1974. He moved to Otis in 1978. In 1940, he married Edna Marie Garretson; she died in 1991. Survivors include his daughter, Leta Weldon; sons, William, Dennis and Les; sister, Rebecca Buller; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements by Pacific View in Lincoln City.
