"Dick" Stout Age 72 of Limestone Gardens, Wilmington passed away Sunday morning, March 4, 2001 at Christiana Hospital in Newark. Dick was born and raised in the Camden, NJ area and graduated from Gloucester City High School where he lettered in 5 sports, quarterbacking the football team and captaining the baseball team. After graduation he played semi-pro football and basketball. An electrical designer and estimator, Dick traveled extensively for DuPont. He settled in Wilmington in 1967, where he worked for McHugh Electric and DK&B. A colleague once confided that Dick was known in the trade as "Mr. Electric". Dick was an elder in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served as pastor to congregations in TN and VA. A family man in the very truest sense of the word, Dick was married to his high school sweetheart, Bev for over 51 years. He was a loving and inspiring father to his 4 children, and his 7 grandchildren were his heart's delight. Dick is survived by his mother, Lillian of Camden, NJ; wife, Naomi Beverly (nee Boulden); son, Richard and his wife, Kathryn; and daughters, Nancy, and Carolyn and her husband, Kevin Thomas, all of Wilmington. Other survivors include another son, Thomas and his wife, Denise of Kennett , PA; and his grandchildren, Clea, Cammy, Christopher, Olivia, Taylor, Evan and Morgan. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews; and by his devoted sisters-in-law, Pauline, Dorothy, Phebe and Millie. A service will be held on Tuesday, March 13 at 10:30 am in the MCCRERY MEMORIAL CHA-PEL, Kirkwood Hwy (Rt.2 east) & Duncan Rd., where friends may call Monday evening, March 12 from 7-9. Burial will be in the Cherry Hill Cemetery in Elkton, MD.
