The following appeared in the May 17, 2001, edition of the Daily Freeman of Kingston, NY: "GEORGETOWN, SC -- Bruce Francisco Stout, formerly of Lucas Avenue, Hurley, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital. He was 85. He was a graduate of Oswego College and had been employed by IBM as a manufacturing engineer manager in Kingston and Poughkeepsie until his retirement. He had been an active member of Hurley Reformed Church and served as a deacon. He was also a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. Born March 10, 1916, in Wellsville, he was a son of the late Lyle and Edith Francisco Stout. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Hanna of Andover, Mass.; a son, John of Wilton, Conn.; five brothers, Byrl of Zephyrhills, Fla., Neil of Springfield, Va., Ellis of Columbia, Mo., and Gary and L. Galen, both of Halls port; two sisters, Evelyn Fuess of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Lorna Mowatt of Lee's Summit, Mo.; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Hurley Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Stickley, pastor of the Hurley Reformed Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Keyser Funeral Service, Kingston Chapel, Albany and Manor avenues."
