The following obituary appeared in the June 1, 2001, edition of the Daytona Beach (Florida) News Journal: South Daytona - Kathleen R "Katie" Stout, 76, of Robin Hood Trail, a resident since 1971, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital-Peninsula, Ormond Beach. Mrs. Stout, a homemaker, moved here from her native Bridgeport, W.Va. She was a member of South Daytona Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Richard; two sons, David, Harbor Oaks, and Larry, Naples; two daughters, Stephanie Brown, Port Orange, and Sherry Winter, Hilton Head Island S.C.; two sisters, Opal Shriver, DeBary, and Irene Gillespie, Manit, Utah; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
