The following obituary appeared in the May 28, 2001, edition of the Atlantic City (New Jersey) Press: STOUT, IVY M. (NEE: LAUER), 80, of Mays Landing, went home to be with her Lord Jesus, on Saturday, May 26, 2001. She was born in Norfolk, CT, and was a resident of Mays Landing for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church of Mays Landing. Wife of the late Elmer C. Stout, she is survived by her son, Elmer D. Stout and his wife Charlene M. of Hammonton; her two daughters, Almeida L. Sandt and Deborah L. Boyer, both of Mays Landing; her brother, Louis C. Lauer, Jr. and his wife Sara of Vineland; seven grand-children and four great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, where a viewing will be held from 11 AM until time of services. Burial at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery of Estell Manor.
