I found the following mention of Richard Stout at the Tennessee State Archives yesterday (15 Feb 2000) Lineage Book National Society of the Daughters of the American Colonists Volume 1 1-1000 1929 Compiled by Ida Powell Jenkins and Ruby Haskins Ellis Washington, D.C. 1929 Page 108- RICHARD STOUT (1602-1705) was a member of the 1st General Assembly, 1671; member of the Indian Commission. He was born in Nottingham, England; died in Middletown, NJ JONATHAN STOUT was overseer of the poor. JOSEPH STOUT (1686-1766) was lieutenant-colonel in Colonial Wars. Lineage Book Volume 111 2001-3000 1931 Page 259- RICHARD STOUTm 1644 Penelope VAN PRINCESS. RICHARD STOUT (1602-1705), of Middletown, NJ, was a member of the first General Assembly, also an Indian commissioner. If anyone has documentation on Richard Stout, I really need copies or where you found the proof, so I can locate and get copies myself.
