The following obituary appeared in the March 10, 2001, edition of the Seymour (Indiana) Tribune: Evelyn Morgan Sept 15, 1922 - March 9, 2001 Evelyn Morgan, 78, of Seymour, died at 6:10 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Seymour. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour, where she was a nursery worker and also assisted in the church kitchen. She was a housewife, mother and grandmother. Born Sept. 15, 1922 in Tampico, she was the daughter of Joseph M. Stout and Dora Arbuckle Stout, who have both preceded her in death. On May 14, 1938, she married Harry A. Morgan in Brownstown, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1980. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara J. Moren of Seymour; a son, Harry L. Morgan of Glendora, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Leann Moren of Scottsburg, Scott Moren of Morristown, N.J., Teri Moren of Indianapolis, Matt Sorrells and Chris Sorrells, both of Noblesville; and Corey Ruiz, Andrea Moren and Kelsey Moren, all of Glendora, Calif.; three brothers, Gene J. Stout of Elizabethtown, and Erman Stout and Lawrence Stout, both of Seymour; and two sisters, Eva King of Crothersville and Addie Deal of Brownstown. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Sorrells; and two brothers, Paul Stout and Winnie Stout. The Rev. Bruce Cochran will hold funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel in Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the time of service. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church or Alzheimer's Association.
