The following obituary appeared in The Beaumont (Texas) Enterprise-Saturday, December 30, 2000: James G "Jim" Stout James G "Jim" Stout, 76, of Beaumont died Dec. 29, 2000 at his residence. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary in Beaumont. Visitation will follow the service. A native of Akron, Ohio, he lived in the Beaumont area many years and was a Goodyear Chemical business manager and World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Stout of Beaumont; sons, Bob Stout of Dallas and Scott Stout of Garland; daughters, Pam Stout of Houston, and Bonnie Pere of Dennison; brothers, Gerald Stout of Englewood, Fla., and John Stout of Phildelphia, Pa; sisters, Marge Gredick of California, Hilda Bibbee of Munroe Falls, Ohio, Evelyn Massey of Leesburg, Fla., Marilyn Barnett and Sarah Malone, both of Akron, Janet Smack of Bar Harbour, Fla., and Phyliss Waters of Kansas; and four grandchildren.
