    3. The following obituary appeared in the January 5, 2001, edition of the Royal Oak (Michigan) Daily Tribune: Alvin H. Stout Alvin H. Stout, 89, a 7-year resident of Midland, died Tuesday, Jan. 2,2000, in MidMichigan Stratford Village. He was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Detroit, to Samuel and Mable (Hammond) Stout, now deceased. Mr. Stout was ordained in the Christian and Missionary AlIiance Church. He also was a cost analyst for the Ford Motor Co., until his retirement in 1970. He was a radio amateur and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and golf. He lived in Royal Oak, Utica and Birmingham before moving to Midland. He also was a member of the United Methodist Church. His wife, Margaret "Louise" (Hawks), whom he married July 10, 1937, died Dec. 30,2000. A brother, Walter Stout, also is deceased. Surviving are sisters, Reba Mooney and Alice (William) CampbeU of Royal Oak; brothers, Harold, Robert (Colleen) of Royal Oak and the Rev. Samuel (Margaret) of Bloomfield Hills; daughter, Joanne Goldsworthy of Rochester; sons, Dr. Daniel (Mary)of Houston, Texas, the Rev. David (Ruthanne) of Midland; grandchildren, Kelly and Mark Goldsworthy, Mark Stout, and Stephen and Deborah Stout; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation, 10 a.m. Sunday until 1 p.m, service at the Kinsey- Garreft Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak, with the Rev. Samuel F Stout officiating; burial, White Chapel Memorial Cemetery, Troy. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
