I did find Wendell (who died in 1991) and several others. On a sad note, if you don't already know. Wendell's son, Wendell (of course) passed away recently here in California. Wendell's (who just passed away)....his son, Windell, spent much time with him the last year taking him fishing....his favorite! I will send a photo if you'd like (with permission from Windell). Both Windell's and his sister, Windy's, families are members of the church we attend. We see them often. Thank you again for your reply. jamie in california

But the Revolution, far from being the sanitized “British vs. Americans” conflict taught in our schools, also pitted Americans against other Americans. A list of the names of all those Persons whose property was Confiscated in the Several Counties of the State of New Jersey, for joining the Army of the King of Great Britain &c. as returned to the Auditors Office, previous to the first day of May 1787. From the Olean (NY) Times-Herald Thursday, 3 August 1939 Nye Rites Will Be Held Saturday BELMONT - Passing away at the farm on which she was born, Mrs. Elizabeth Ruth Stout Nye, died Tuesday afternoon at the hom of her daughter, Mrs. G. Larue Sears on the Belmont-Friendship road, midway between the two villages. Funeral services have been arranged to be held there Saturday afternoon at two o'clock, to be conducted by the Rev. J. E. Thompson, Pastor of the Belmont Baptist Church, of which Mrs. Nye was a member. Burial will be in the Friendship Mt. Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Nye was born September 22, 1862. She was a daughter of the late James M. and Helen Corbin Stout. She had resided all her life on farms near her birthplace. Besides the daughter mentioned, Mrs. Nye is survived by one son, Earl J. Nye of Belmont; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was married to William A. Nye, January 25, 1882. Mr Nye died two years ago.
