    1. Back to School and Genealogy!
    2. Back to School and Genealogy! Remember that New Years resolution you made to organize your genealogy notes, letters, e-mails, computer print outs, etc. Now is the time to buy the supplies. Over the next few month there will be many Back to School sales. You can use these items for organizing your genealogy records. Check your newspaper for sales and COUPONS. Example - WalMart right now has items on sale for 10, 20, 50 and 97 cents!! Stores have notebook paper, 3 ring binders, sheet protectors, spiral notebooks, calculators, file folders, etc on sale. Another good item is the kid's assignment calendars - these are great for keeping track of "TO DO" lists. You can find items now that are not available the rest of the year. Look for file boxes - not too large - ones you can easily carry around. If the price is right, you may be able to get one for each surname you are currently working on. Time to organize all that paper on the guest bed and dinning room table!! Take a trip to the store and see what may help solve some of your organizational problems. Set a timer for 10 to 15 minutes and use that time to file and organize your papers. You will be surprised how much filing you can get done in 15 minutes. If I only listened to my own advice!!! For important items use only acid free / archival quality products. You will find these items on sale over the next few months. 1. Mary and Elenor (Stout) Mount, born 1795 and 1800 in Kentucky
    2. Terry Mount
    3. All, I am tying to find the parents and siblings of Mary and Eleanor Stout. Here is a brief summary of what I know: Mary was born 21 Nov 1795 in Kentucky. She married Samuel Mount on 28 Apr 1814 in Lexington Ky. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri by 1817. Mary died in St. Louis on 13 Jul 1861 and is buried in Des Peres Presbyterian Cemetery in what is now the city of Frontenac, Mo - a suburb of St. Louis. Eleanor 'Ellen' Stout (my 4G-Grandmother) was born around 1800 in Kentucky. She married Brittin Mount, presumably in Kentucky but possibly in St. Louis, Mo. I know they purchased land in St. Louis as husband and wife in 1820. Mary and Ellen were sisters, and Samuel and Brittin were brothers. Mary and Samuel had no children of their own, but had many children living with them during their lives. Some of these children had the surname of Busby, I believe these were nieces and nephews of another Stout sister, but I am not certain of that. Brittin Mount died in 1832 and Ellen and the 3 living children (2 were Brittin and Ellen's, the other was Brittin's by a previous marriage) lived with or near Samuel and Mary until they both died. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Terry Mount terry.mount(at)yahoo.com --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Next-gen email? Have it all with the all-new Yahoo! Mail Beta.

I have been doing this for years. The DNA is fairly new to us. We had the DNA done through Familytree. We narrowed it down to one person so far, as the closest match, and that is Richard Stout, with one of the 25 markers one number off. He was from Burton Joyce, Nottinghamshire, England. This was done with a genetic distance of one. I am still doing this the different ways it tells us to. I do not know what the number is on STOUT, as they do not show it. I do know that one group of the Stouts were in the area where Harry Joseph was at one time. My email is mperkins@gt.rr.com
