    3. I made a posting about a month ago, but I have since come into some slightly different info. My computer went down, so I made a trip out of town to visit some relatives and found out a few interesting things. In my original posting I was asking for info on James Richard Stout, born 1867 in Indian Territory. I have since found out that his family was from Missouri. They left to escape Quantrill's Raiders. The parent's names were Matthew and Martha Stout. Their nicknames were Matt and Mate. They moved to Guthrie, OK. I am still looking for siblings. Some of the names are: Elmer, Albert, Mary, and Lewis. I have not been able to locate any of this family on any census records. Is there any one that may have info on the parents or where any of their descendants are now? Louise

    3. Dear Libby, When I went to New Jersey I went to Hopewell to the church that was founded by Jonathan Stout in 1714 or 1715. There is also a museum there. The building used to be a Stout home. I also went to the library at Rutgers University. They have an excellent geneology section with a lot of unpublished papers and family bibles. If I went back I would also go to the library at Trenton New Jersey. And there is a geneological library in Monmouth County-it is listed on the GENWEB site. Get a good local road map. We spent a lot of the time lost. Wanda

    2. Hi all, I gleaned these records from Franklin County, Indiana Index to Marriage Transcript Record A-Z 1882 - 1920. The columns are (1) Name of Bride or Groom, (2) Father's given name, (3) Mothers maiden name, (4) sex, (5) color, (6) Age at next birthday, (7) date of marriage, (8) book, (9) page. Is anyone familiar with these families? In particular I am wondering if Jane Brady and Jenny Brady are the same person or not? Willis Stout is shown married to Eldora Seal, Emma Seals, and Martha E. Seal, are these all different people or are possibly Eldora and Emma the same? Any information to help make a little more sense of this would be appreciated. 3. In an old photo album of my grandmother's I found 3 photos mounted on the same kind of card appearing to be taken at the same time. There is a photographer's stamp on the back "G.F. Lemmons, Photographer Pocahontas, Ark." I have no idea who these people are. My guess is they are from the BISHOP line of my family simply because my grandmother seemed to have more of those items than any others. What kind of digging can I do with this kind of limited information? Did photographers ever keep a list of their subjects? You can see the photos and the stamp at my site: http://www.StoutGenealogy.com/ click on "scrapbooks" Any help would be great! Thank you, Paula STOUT RACKLEY

    3. Some of the research I've seen shows STAUGHT as the original spelling of the name in the 1500s. I would imagine there were some around Nottinghamshire who did not migrate at the time Richard Stout did who maintained the original spelling of the name.
