The following obituary appeared in the May 15, 2001, edition of the (Boise) Idaho Statesman: Harold Glenn Stout Harold Glenn Stout, 73, passed into rest at his home in Caldwell on Sunday, May 13, 2001, after a long and debilitating illness. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at the Marsing-Homedale Cemetery. The Rev. Lonnie Wages will officiate. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Mr. Stout was born Dec. 20, 1927, at Vienna, Mo., to Charley and Zella Keller Stout. He received his education in Missouri schools and moved to Marsing, Idaho, in 1943 with his family. He served his country in the U.S. Army Artillery Division, both stateside and in Germany. He was separated from the Army active duty in 1953, and received his honorable discharge after completing three years of active reserve in 1956. He met, and married Donna Lee Rockwell of Yakima, Wash., on Feb. 14, 1954. While living in Yakima, the couple lost fraternal twins due to a miscarriage in 1954, but a son was born to them in 1955. In 1956, they moved to Ontario, Ore., where a daughter was born in 1957. Glenn served as a city police officer while there. In 1959, they settled in the Nampa-Caldwell area, which has been their home. Glenn's lifelong occupation was carpenter/home builder, and he excelled in finish work and in building specialty items for family and friends. Glenn loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, enjoyed campouts, hunting, fishing with family and friends. He loved telling stories around the campfire at night and enjoyed playing pranks on the children with his imitation of a brown bear at Lost Lake. He enjoyed traveling with the family and backyard barbecues. He is survived by is wife of 47 years, Donna Lee Stout of Caldwell; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Glenn "Chuck" and Lori Ann Stout and their children, Christopher, Lisa and Nicholas of Caldwell; his daughter, Gwenda Lynn "Wendy" Fowler and grandson, Jim Fowler and his wife, Traci of Caldwell; sisters, Loeta Dobyns and Connie McCormick of Marsing, Deloris Quintana of Homedale, and Lenora Thomason of Canyon City, Ore..; his mother-in-law, Leona Rockwell of Yakima, Wash.; sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Gerald Patnode of Moxie, Wash.; two maternal aunts, Avra Rushing and Della Coonts, both of Homedale; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three infant brothers; his parents; a sister, Hazel; a brother Don; two brothers-in-law; and his father-in-law. The following obituary appeared in the April 10, 2001, edition of the Fremont (Nebraska) Tribune: Ralph Stout The memorial graveside service for Ralph "Lou" Stout, 78, of Fremont will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. He died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. He was born Feb. 27, 1923, in Fremont. He attended Fremont schools and graduated from Fremont Senior High School in 1941. He then attended Midland Lutheran College before entering the U.S. Marines during World War II. After serving in the Pacific Theater of the war, he returned to Fremont and went to work for Hormel Foods Corp., where he was employed for 36 years, retiring in 1984. He married Gerda Broeckemeir in 1949 in Fremont. She died in 1996. He was a member of the Fremont Family YMCA, Fremont Fraternal Order of Eagles Arie 200, American Legion Post 20 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 854. Survivors include: a son, Shawn (and wife, Julie) Stout of LaMesa, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by a daughter. There is no visitation. She also built furniture and made her own clothes. She was an avid reader, checking out books from the Bookmobile until her eyesight began failing. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home, 12 Noon Wednesday and proceed to New Loyston Cemetery for graveside service at 1 p.m. Rev. Vaughn Richardson officiating. He had retired after 38 years as a Cairo post office letter carrier, and was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Cairo Knights of Columbus Council No. 1027. He was a sports announcer for 25 years for WKRO in Cairo, and was a member of Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He was an Army veteran who served in World War II, where he earned the Bronze Star and was a prisoner of war, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Ann Stout of Cairo; three sons, the Rev. Thomas Stout of Red Bud, John L. Stout of Mounds, and Bill Stout of Olmstead; three daughters, Mary Helen Wissinger of Cairo, Nan Hall of Centralia, and Peggy Berryhill of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; a brother, John Stout of Evansville, Ind.; two sisters, Mary Eileen Karcher and Elizabeth Turner, both of Cairo; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.     3. The following obituary appeared in the April 25, 2001, edition of the Salt Lake (Utah) Tribune: Robert Byron Stout Wednesday, April 25, 2001 Robert B. Stout passed away due to heart failure following complications of surgery in Houston, Texas, on Tuesday, April 17, 2001. He was born on December 30, 1927 in Ft. Myers, Florida to Frank and Imogene Stout. He was one of six sons. He joined the Marines at age 19, where he served in Korea and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After completing seven years of service, he received his Bachelor's degree in Engineering at San Jose State University. He also pursued a Master's degree at Santa Clara University. He worked for several years at Varian & Associates in California. He then worked for Linton Corporation for 21 years as an electrical engineer, 19 of which were in Salt Lake City. He married Gladys Marie Hansen and they had four children. They later divorced. He married Carol Anne Johnson and they had one daughter, Lisa Anne Stout. They lived in Sandy, Utah for 21 years, however most recently they lived in Henderson, NV. He is survived by his wife, Carol and his five children; Leslye (Joe), Robert Jr. (Ann), Paul (Carolene), Jim (Kergan), and Lisa; two brothers, Frank Jr. and David Stout; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The Neptune Society is handling his memorial service where his ashes will be scattered in the Pacific Ocean, outside of San Diego, California, one of his favorite places.
