List Owner, Hi, would you consider making a change to the subject header line so that when an e-mail is posted to the list that [STOUT-L] or even [STOUT] appears before the particular subject? Other RootsWeb lists to which I subscribe do this. I've found it necessary to go through my mail before opening it, and I delete everything that is from an unfamiliar sender or doesn't have a recognizable subject Somes subjects just say "Help!" or "Question" or something equally as vague and could mean it's something legitimate or something from spammers which somehow or other too easily use AOL to spread their ads and garbage around. A header line would certainly help to let me know it's something legitimate and something I want to read. Just thought I'd ask, Neva

I was hoping someone might have some info to share on these folks. From the 1900 Federal Census, State of Pennsylvania, Crawford County, Troy Township, enumeration district 51, sheet 10, line 23 Stout, Etherald Head Mar 1849 50 NY NY NY --, Emma Wife Sep 1858 41 IA PA PA --, Jamie Daughter Jan 1897 3 PA NY IA --, Calista Mother Oct 1826 73 NY NY NY In the 1920 Federal Census, State of Pennsylvania, Crawford County, Troy Township, Enumeration District 51, page 7B Stout, Etherald E. Head M W 70 M NY NY NY Farmer --, Emma Wife F W 60 M IA PA PA I have not yet checked the 1910 Census. Just for the record Etherald E. STOUT is one of two sons (the other is Addison) of Calista KNOWLTON and Gordon STOUT. I've been trying to determine who Calista's parents were and it seems likely she may have died in Troy Township between the Census dates in 1900 and 1920. Hopefully the 1910 Census will narrow that search. As to my interest, Gordon STOUT was one of the son of Charles G. STOUT and Ure Sarah HART, who was the oldest sister of my gg-grandfather Andrew Stout HART. Bill Hart [email protected]
Thanks to those who tried to help me find the family of Carrie Leda STOUT and her mother Martha Sue STOUT, especially Joe, who has been especially helpful as has Annie. I have the family back to John Henry STOUT, thanks to Joe and the census reports. I have to leave this project--for now at least--so will unsubscribe to this list today. If anyone can fill in any gaps mail direct to: [email protected] Thanks again to the list and it's members. Bill
