The following obituary appeared in the April 25, 2000, edition of the Argus Leader of Rapid City, South Dakota: Ora Stout RAPID CITY - Ora Stout, 86, died Saturday, April 22, 2000, in Rapid City. Ora Pool was born in Chancellor. She grew up in the area, graduating from Chancellor High School. She married George Stout in July, 1933. The couple moved to Rapid City in 1950. She worked for J.C. Penney until her retirement. Her husband died in 1985. She was an active member of the Minneluzaban Senior Center in Rapid City. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia McKay of Rapid City; a son, Michael of Durham, N.C.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; give stepgreat-grandchildren; and two sisters. Graveside services being at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hurley Cemetery in Hurley. The Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Chapel in Hurley is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the Hospice of the Hills.

Stout, 76, of Fairfield will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Suisun-Fairfield Cemetery. The Rev. Liciano Valanzuela of Fairfield's Holy Spirit Church will officiate. Born Aug. 14, 1921, in Ontario, Canada, Mr. Stout died June 4, 1998, at Travis Air Force Base's David Grant Medical Center after a short illness. He became a naturalized citizen in 1953. He served with Canada's First Battalion of the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders during World War II. He also served as a chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force for 25 years, retiring in 1976. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bud Goucher of Canada; cousins, Larry and Sheila Stout of Canada; and longtime friends and adopted family, Jerry and Joan Coyle and family of Fairfield.

She was a member of God's Little Mission Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Glen Acuff; sisters, Polly Griffin and Lucy Spickard; brothers, Oscar, Clarence, and Rowdy Acuff. Survived by brother, Charles Stout of Maynardville; sisters, Barbara Chesney of Blaine, Wanda Chandler and Mary Stout of Mascot, very dear friend, Frances Hayes of Mascot; grandchildren: Shelia McQuithy, Sharon Stooksbury Stacy Lane, and Susie Littleton; 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 3 p.m. Thursday, Mynatt's Chapel, Rev. Arville Cardwell, Rev. Ray Chandler, and Rev. Roy Hammock officiating. Interment in Clear Springs Cemetery in Mascot. She was born March 19, 1914, in Ulman, daughter of William H. and Ida A. Hobbs Stout. She was married Feb. 14, 1932, to Sherman Adkison, who preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 1989. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Richland. In 1985 she retired as a cook from Richland Public Schools. Survivors include: three sons, Billy Adkison, Richland, George Adkison, Jefferson City, and Terry Adkison, Russellville; one brother, Hubert Stout, Buffalo; one sister, Effie Earls, St. Peters; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Services were held Thursday at Colonial Funeral Chapel, Richland, with Pastor Doug Earls officiating. Burial was in Centerpoint Cemetery. Lincoln Ave., Lititz, died of natural causes Wednesday at Ephrata Community Hospital. Miss Stout retired in 1985 after 13 years in the housekeeping department at Brethren Village. Earlier she was in housekeeping at Lancashire Hall and United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Also, she was a baby sitter and worked at a number of children's retail shops in Lancaster and Lititz. She was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lititz. At the church, she was a member of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, the Sarah Circle and a blanket making group. Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late David F. and Lidie Hannis Stout. Surviving is a nephew, D. Stanley Stout Sr. of Scandinavia, Wis.

The following obituary appeared in the June 9, 2001, edition of the Canton (Ohio) Repository: Dolores M.Skeeles, age 78 of North Canton passed away Thursday morning, June 7, 2001 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Ambridge, PA, September 24, 1922 to her parents the late John and Margaret (Gertz) Stout, she lived most of her life in the Canton area and was a former employee of The Timken Company. Mrs. Skeeles was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Thomas William Skeeles. Survivors include her dauther, Debra D. Vorhees of Columbus, Ohio, grandson, Tyler Vorhees of Columbus, OH, one sister, Virginia Stofer of California and one niece, Gretchen Hill of California. Funeral services will be conducted Monday 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of North Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Arthur Bliese officiating. There will be no calling hours. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stuart-Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Stuart, with burial at Winterset Cemetery in Winterset. Mr. Stout was born in Patterson and had lived in Carson, Iowa City, Nevada, Collins and Stuart before moving to Menlo. He was a retired quarry superintendent and a member of Jefferson Center United Methodist Church and Congregate Meals. He enjoyed attending congregate meals and visiting with people. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda Phillips of Round, Texas, and Sheilah McQuire of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, Glen Raymond Stout of Maybank, Texas 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was born June 6, 1946 in Ypsilanti, MI, daughter of David and Marie (Slone) Stout. On December 14, 1963 she was married to Ronald S. Hutchins in Ypsilanti and he survives. Mrs. Hutchins was currently employed by Lincoln School District as a noon supervisor. She will always be remembered for her love of family. In addition to her husband and mother, sur vivors include a daughter, Karen (Thomas) Mills and a son, Daniel Hutchins; two grandchildren, Heather Marie and Ashley Ann Mills, all of Milan; her grand mother, Delcia Slone; a brother, John Stout of Ypsilanti Twp; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2001 at the JANOWIAK FUNERAL HOME, Geer-Logan Chapel, Rev. Walker Harris of Belleville Free Will Baptist Church officiating. BLOOMFIELD -- Graveside services for Eileen Anders, 59, Woodbury, Minn., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 26, at the Bloomfield Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Hannemann will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at Brockham Funeral Home in Bloomfield with a 7:30 p.m. prayer service. She died Thursday, July 19, 2001, at her home. She had been ill with lung cancer since last year. The daughter of Clifford and Julia (Halvorsen) Stout was born Feb. 24, 1942, at Bloomfield. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Wayne. She attended rural school, Niobrara High School and Wayne State College. She married Leon Anders on Aug. 6, 1961, at First Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomfield. She taught school in Coleridge for two years, then later became a homemaker. She began working for St. Paul Title Insurance in 1978, retiring in 1999. Mrs. Anders moved to Woodbury in 1973 and had been a member of Woodbury Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, two sons and their wives, Craig and Nancy of Woodbury and Todd and Rae Ann of Eagan, Minn.; her parents; two brothers, Harvey and David, both of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren.

    3. The following obituary appeared in the April 13, 1996, edition of The World (Bend, Oregon): At his request, no services will be held for Maxwell Joseph Stout, 82, of North Bend. He was born 1 May 1913, at Tacoma, wA and died 10 Apr 1996 at his home at North Bend. Mr. Stout was an appraiser for the Coos County Assessor's office, retiring in 1982. In the 1930s and early 1940s he lived in the San Francisco Bay area. He spent several years as a merchant seaman, traveling to South America and Oriental ports of call. During World War II, he worked in the San Francisco shipyards repairing military vessels. He married Margaret Coupe in 1933, and in the mid-1940s their family moved to the Lebanon area. It was at Lebanon that he worked in farming, logging, cattle raising and as a real estate broker. He moved to North Bend in 1973. Survivors include his wife, Anna Jones Stout of North Bend, whom he married in 1976; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Dave Tacy of Bend; sister and brother-in-law, Vesta and Milt Hansen of Fresno, Ca; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Alan Maxwell Stout. The family suggests memorial contributions to South Coast Hospice, 371 W. Anderson Ave., Suite 218, Coos Bay, 97420. She was born July 2, 1909, in Sellers, Ill., daughter of Charles C. and Nettie Moorhous Elliott. She marrked Clarence Eldridge on March 19, 1918, in Dunkerton. They later divorced. She married Homer Stout on Jan. 15, 1929, in Mason City. He died Sept. 21, 1964. Mrs. Stout worked as kitchen help with several area restaurants until 1964 and also attended Iowa State Teachers College, Ceder Falls. Survived by: a daughter, Lavonne E. Skillen of Waterloo, and two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: a daughter, Laurel Jean Stout. Services: 11:30 a.m., Wednesday at Kearns, Hulsman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
