    3. A lot of you have asked how I got the books I have sent out, when I started working on my genealogy full time when I retired a few years ago, had to find a economical way to do it as I am now on a fixed income. First you have to be willing to share and be cheap, or frugal. I tried out Ancestry.Com, Genealogy.com when they had a free trial but found them very expensive. Outside of the free sites the best one I found was Godfrey Library, has a lot of site to access, Heritage Quest and others, A lot of you have it available now from your local library. However I live in a small town in New Mexico and my library does not have it. So I joined, the cost is reasonable $35.00/year.. When I see a book I might be interested in I check with them at their site and there is a good chance they have it. If it is 100 pages or less I download and print it out later. I built up a very fine library. Also a good place to start looking for books you might be interest in is the auction site! ebay.com. When I find a book there I note the author and go to Godrey and check the author in many cases he is listed and has more than one book of interest. That is how I found the books I have shared with. Forgive my rambling but I wanted to answer the question of where I found them. Jack

    3. Hi Jack, Since there is no relationship between the Stout and Lincoln family, this book must have a big mistake in it. Send me a copy so I can see where they went wrong. Bill Stout Gilbert, AZ -----Original Message----- From: Jack Heine [mailto:JHeine7533@msn.com] Sent: Saturday, April 16, 2005 1:02 PM To: STOUT-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Richard & Penelope I have found another book on the above. It is "Descendants of Richard & Penelope Stout and generations to Belle Summrs Clift Baganz; ancestral line of Abraham Lincoln including Stout family relationship". The author is Belle S. Clift Baganz, it is a little over 90 pages. Let me know if you want a copy. 1. Mysterious Stout family members -- Photographs
    2. Hi, I am having a terrible time identifying my Stout family. My ggrandfather was John A. Stout. He was an orphan raised from early childhood by another family with a different surname, yet he knew and wrote about an Aunt Jane Stout, a George Stout and a Matt Stout and others -- an Oliver, a Minnie, a Sissy Housefield? and a Heiss? Would anyone interested please look at these two photographs of his unidentified Stout family members and see if they recognize anyone? I believe the photos were taken in the late 1930s so some of these people are probably still alive. Here is the link: http://www.tribalpages.com/tribe/browse?userid=shasta4737&view=63&pid=326& photoindex=1&rand=33321 If you click the smaller photo it will enlarge it. The only person that I can identify is my Great Uncle Harry Amadore Stout, but I am told that the others were related to him (and they do look like him), but there are not any names on the back of the photos. Harry Amadore Stout was born about 1897 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, but I do not know where the pictures were taken. Harry was married to a Jewel Jenkins. Thanks for any help! Susan E. Davis
