While browsing on-line library catalogs, I came across an entry for the University of Maryland at College Park under the name William Briscoe Stone, the synopsis indicated he was a lawyer in Port Tobacco, Md. He was also a son of Michael Jenefer Stone. Without knowing what data is where, this collection is too large for me to ask the UMCP library to photocopy the whole set. A series of 50 (?) letters, business and family, between Charles county lawyer William Briscoe Stone of Port Tobacco, Maryland and, among others, his father, Michael Jenefer Stone (judge) his uncles: Frederick Stone, Daniel Stone, Walter Stone. Not included are any correspondence with his other uncles; Governor John H. Stone and (Signer) Thomas Stone. Check the on-line library catalog for University of Maryland at College Park for current status of this (non-circulating) collection.
