Concerning the George Stone of Ky query, several of you given names are the same as mine. George, Thomas, Luther, William and John are all common names in my line. John, William, and James all gave their birth place as MS in Independence Co, AR census. My g-grandfather was James R. Stone who was listed as a Jr in one census. His father appears to have been Charles Stone. Other family names common in my line are Cornelious, Samuel or Sam, Sigmond. We have a Burl/ Berle Columbus, an Arlie, Loke, Deak, all uncommon names. They married into the Sharp, Sullivan, Stroud, Gilliam, Holcom/Holcomb, Beck, Slaten, Dickie, Stewart, Wilmoth, Matheney, Birmingham families in AR. Some went to Ok but most lived and died in Lawrence, Independence and Jackson Cos in Ar. My grandmother was Ida Pearlee Stone Gilliam.
