    3. My name is Elizabeth Evers and the other day while rummaging through the attic of an antique store here in Tuscaloosa Alabama I came across boxes of old photos, some even had inscriptions written on the back. Looking at these photos made me sad and I have felt compelled to start on a quest to return the photos to the families. I asked the owner to let me have them to do so....to no avail. So I have decided to buy them, at the price he was charging it will only be a few a month, and try and get them a loving home. Now to where this site comes in, one of the photos is of building in Peterborough England on the back is written "Mr. And Mrs. Stone from their affectionate son, Thomas Stone" I am hoping to return it to the descendents (photos looks to be late 1800s early 1900s, it was taken by William Bell, Acorn cottage, Broad Bridge Street, Peterborough England I am not asking for any money for photo or for postage., thats my gift to the original owners of the photos..I just want to get a home for them Thank you all for your time, Elizabeth Evers (eevers@msn.com)

    3. Hello Elizabeth, I am interested as well, as my STONESs came to Canada from Yaxley, which is only about 5 miles from Peterborough. The name Thomas is frequently used within our family, too, so do wonder if could possibly be my 2x gr. grandfather's brother, who perhaps wrote the words/or a cousin/or a nephew. Also there are both BELLs and BALLs within this family, all in the UK, around Peterborough, Yaxley, Whittlesey and Huntingdon. Pity we do not know what [*your*] Thomas looked like, as we do have photos of our 2x gr.grandfather, mostly in his mid years, plus some of each of his 7 sons, at different stages of their lives. Nevertheless could you possibly scan the photo, sending it to me? Thank you, if you can. Warmest regards, Trena. ******************************************************** FHH Brat Reunion (1950-1965) Visit our web site: www.kingsweb.net/fhhbrats ********************************************************* ----- Original Message ----- From: "ELIZABETH EVERS" <eevers@msn.com> To: <STONE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, August 03, 2002 11:11 AM Subject: [STONE] found photos, any takers > Now to where this site comes in, one of the photos is of building in Peterborough England on the back is written "Mr. And Mrs. Stone from their affectionate son, Thomas Stone" > I am hoping to return it to the descendents (photos looks to be late 1800s early 1900s, it was taken by William Bell, Acorn cottage, Broad Bridge Street, Peterborough England
