Hello Cora I have a John Stone that was born in Berks Co. He was the son of Adam (Stein) Stone and Margaretha. My information is very limited because it is brick wall also. I have a copy of a church page that was translated from German. It was from the Trinity Reformed Church of Tulpehocken, Berks Co. Pa. Parents Child Sponsor [John] Adam Stein John John Etherich Anna Margaret brn Aug 7, 1755 & wife Dorothy bpt Sep 7, 1755 There was a common name change from Stein to the German translation Stone. Adam moved his family to Sharpsburg, Maryland. Where they lived until Adam died in 1791 and his wife died in 1795. Four of Adam's sons moved to Fayette County, Ky. They were: George, John, William and Jacob. They lived there until they died. Jacob was my 3rd grt-grandfather. I have very little info on the brothers. I don't know if this helps.
