The William Stone from Newberry, SC is listed in the 1790 census as the following: Free White males 16 years and older: 1 Free White males under 16: 1 Free white females: 5 Slaves: 1 I don't know if I have any connection to this line, but my Stones lived in Spartanburg, SC. They then moved to Gibson and Carroll Counties in TN.
