I am currently researching Henry Edward Stone (AKA William Henry Edward Stone), b. 1840, Logan County, Virginia (now West Virginia). I found Henry's family on the 1850 census in Preston Township, Platte County, Missouri. They were listed as John, age 35, born Virginia: Cynthia, age 30 born Virginia: Henry, age 10, born Virginia; Joshua, age 5, born Missouri; and Adisson, age 2, born Missouri. As of this date, I have been unable to go any further back on Henry. In 1860, Henry married Ardell Cartner in Henry County, Missouri. Adisson and Joshua lived in Cooper County, Missouri as adults. Ardell is from the Cooper County Cartner/Rennison family. Addison married Polly Seat. Joshua married Mary Elizabeth Spencer. Henry's youngest son, Harry Lee, was born in Trenton, Grundy County, Missouri in 1884, and I found him in the 1920 census in Beloit, Mitchell County, Kansas. My grandfather, William Edward Stone was born in 1869 in Pilot Grove, Cooper County, Missouri and died in 1951 in Sedalia, Pettis County, Missouri. Other children of Henry and Ardell are: Leonard Morgan Stone, b. 1875; John J. Stone, b. 1862; June Stone, b. 1860; Sallie Stone, b. 1867; & Katie Stone.
