If you can find it, the New Yorker, March 26, 2001, had an excellent piece by John Seabrook on his use of DNA in his search for his family. Very enlightening article. He titled the piece "The Tree of Me" and started it with "DNA testing is revolutionizing the field of genealogy. Are we ready for what we might find?"
