Please excuse this message to the list. Marylou Hill wrote to me (below), I responded, but it was rejected by AOL (see below). Heck no! I realized a long time ago, that what I sent out, often didn't come across as I sent it. So I started sending it to ME first so I could be sure it came through OK, which allowed me the opportunity to reformat where necessary. This takes an extra step, but definitely is worth the effort. You get more responses. I was not trying to "demean" you at all -- just trying to offer you a lesson from my OWN personal experience. I was not asking you to do anything that I have not done many time. I'm sorry if you took it harshly, it certainly was not meant that way. One other comment, you may have better luck with your "formatting" by sending the genealogies as a TEXT message rather than in HTML format as you sent this direct letter. This may be where your problem lies -- you send it out in HTML and the list converts it to text--all your HTML formatting is then LOST! Again, I'm sorry I ruffled your feathers, please accept my apologies. Try this "tag line" --or as you called it "quote" L;Chaim! --John ------------------------------------------------------------------ John D. I was not aware that one had to be perfect to post. I have sat back as a silent member of this list and have seen several posts such as mine. However, I did not feel the need to attempt to demean them. We are all human. I also appreciate your motto or "quote" at the bottom of your email. "Don't approach a goat from the front, a horse from the back, or a fool from any side." -- Yiddish proverb. I have one for you. It is the golden rule. You know, the one that contains "Do unto others...". Try it. You may be surprised at the positive responses you get. I will not put this on the mail list as I am going straight to the source...as should have been your direction. Please, next time, think before you hurt someone else.
