Recently I ran across a possible set of parents for my gggtr , who was WILEY Stone, b. 1803 in SC. This source indicates it was HARMON Stone and MARY COLVIN Stone . I am asking if ANY lister has these folks in their information pool? and if so, what can they tell me about them? ron in CA
Ron, did your source mention what county Wiley's parents Harmon and Mary Colvin Stone lived in SC? If so, the 1810 census of that county should show head of household and a 7 year old son. Also, and old Southern custom of continuing names down thru generations don't apply. I did notice there is a Colvin Family Page, and some of them were Colvins.
