Does any one know anything about James R Stone who married Elizabeth Willis Sept. 13, 1847 in SAngamon Co Il? My g-grandfather Stone was James R Stone, Jr who died in Independence Co Ar between 1910 and 1920. I would like to know who his parents were. I know he had a brother named William and one named James who lived near him in Independence Co. It seems strange to me that there would be 2 brothers named James but my grandmother, Ida Pearlee Stone Gilliam told me the man who donated land for the Stone school house was her uncle. I have found through land records his name was James. Could have been her great-uncle. The only thing I know for sure other than this is she was related to the Dicky family through the Stones. James R Stone, Jr wife was Emma Clementine Jones. Could the above mentioned James R and Elizabeth have been his parents? Jan Gilliam Reynolds
