Hello, I am desperately seeking information on John Stone. He married Sarah Margaret Hallam on March 26, 1829 in Clinton Co., OH. Both were originally from Washington Co., PA because they had a court suit that moved them back there for a year or two around 1833. John Stone supposedly died before 1840 in Ohio because the 1840 census lists Margaret as head of household. But their daughter, Margaret Emmeline Stone, was born about 1843. I descend from her. As far as I can find or can't find, John Stone did not own any land in Ohio. Margaret bought a small farm from her brother, Absalom Hallam, after 1840. John Stone, according to family tradition, was born in Ireland. Help, Alyson Crippen
