I assume that Ann is the daughter of Colonel Phillip Hoskins by his second wife, Anne Jones(?). Her sister (or half sister) Martha, married another Stone, Captain Thomas, son of John and Elizabeth (Warren) Stone. This John appears to have been the uncle of the William who married Theodosia Wade. As you probably know, Newman (Stones of Poynton Manor) gives William and Theodosia three sons (Thomas, William, and Richard) and five daughters. He says Richard d.s.p, and that Thomas by wife Margery has four daughters and a son, William, who d.s.p. However (unless I somehow missed it), Newman is silent as to what happened to William and Theodosia's second son, William {I do wish the Stones had been a little more creative in naming their children!). I would be particularly interested in discovering if any of the children of William and Ann (Hoskins) Stone wound up farther west, say in Prince William or Fauquier Counties. Richard Bingham
