Have a copy of the 1850 census for Menard Co., IL. In it there seem to be quite a few families of Stones, possibly brothers, that came out from VA. Most of the children seem to have been born in IL. Believe one of these is possibly my gggrandfather, Abram Stone. Some of the family heads are John Stone, 50; George Stone,47; and William Stone, 39. There is also an Elizabeth Stone, 80, who is also from VA. Hope someone can help. If not, but you want a lookup on someone who might have been on this census, will be glad to help.
