Jennie, Your query caught my eye because you mentioned Stone in connection to Cohern. My grandmother was a Stone and they lived neighbors to the Cohern\Cothern/Cochran/Cohorn family in Independence Co Ar. My gg-grandmother was a Cochran and she married a Gilliam who in turn had a son who married an Ashby and there son married Ida Pearlee Stone. Now, my grandfather Eather Ivern Gilliam told me his family was called sounds like Caw-Horn when he was young but later called themselves Cochran. John G. Cochran was the father of my gg-grandmother Elizabeth Cochran. He had brothrs named James and William that I know of. They came to Indepdendenc Co in the 1830s. Possiably from Franklin Co Tn. John G. may have been married to a Wammack/Womack. If any of this sounds famaliar please contact me. Jan Gilliam Reynolds
