There is a non-circulating collection of letters in their library: fifty pieces of correspondence to/from Lawyer William Briscoe Stone of Port Tobacco, Md (Charles county). He was son of Judge Michael Jenefer Stone (of the Poynton Manor Stones) and therefore nephew of Signer Thomas Stone and of that Governor John Stone. Most of these letters are legal business related but some are reputedly family correspondence with some of William's uncles. This info was obtained by internet search of library holdings in the area. Michael Stone, descendant of another William Stone (1780-1829) of Putnam County Georgia, who by some accounts was born in Maryland.
