Looking for information on the Stone family of Adams County, Illinois. Including Mary Ellen STONE, b. 27 Dec. 1838, d. 1874 in Plainville, IL; married 28 Feb. 1851 to Henry WAGY. Mary Ellen Stone is the daughter of George W. and Mary Stone. (This information is not verified.) I have a recipe book written in the late 1960s by my grandmother's sister Florence Brumbaugh Pribble of Dallas, TX. In the book she refers to several family recipes including "Mother's White Cake (Has been in the family for 5 generations...)" and "Applesauce Cake (Like our Grandmother used to make...)"
