Barbara, This sounds a lot like my Stone family! My g-grandfather was James R. Stone, Jr who raised a family in Independence Co Ar which is in the extream NE corner of the state. Census records give his bp as Ms. He married Emma Clementine Jones and they raised a large family. She died ca, 1906 and he ca 1910, 12. My grandmother was born 1902 next to the youngest of 9 children. There is still a man in that neighborhood named Nolan Daggat who I have heard is related to my family but I don't know how. G-ma Ida Pearlee Stone married Eather Ivern Gilliam who was the son of Francis Marion Gilliam whose father, Braddock Harris Gilliam, was from Franklin Co Tn. The only fact I know for sure about the Stones, other than her bro and sis' is that she had 2 uncles, one named James and one William.
