While researching my STONE Family, I came across this entry in the New England Families, Genealogical and Memorial, Volume II on page 804: Simon STONE, the immigrant ancestor of this branch of the STONE family in America, was born in Great Bromley, county Essex, England, where he was baptized February 9, 1585-1586.... On April 15, 1636...embarked from London in the ship "Increase".... Mr. STONE settled in Watertown, Massachusetts. Brother Gregory.... Children of first wife (Joan CLARK) were Francis (1618-19), Mary (1621), Ann (1624), Simon (1631), Mary (1632), John (1635), Elizabeth (1639). Simon STONE died in Watertown September 22, 1665. This is just a extraction of a much longer article, but it gives enough particulars to assist in research. Hope it helps someone -- I could not find a connection with my STONEs of Guilford, Connecticut (1769) and Jericho, Vermont (1792).
