    3. Thanks for your reply. However, it doesn't appear that these William Riley Stones are the same person. My William Riley Stone was in the civil war and wounded at Missionary Ridge and was married to 2 sisters-Dunkins. It is possible that these two families are related but if so, it would more likely be from James O. Stone and his siblings as I do not recognize any names in this family. Thanks again for your information. You never know when there might be a connection and it seems like it is harder to find a Stone than to throw one.
