I have an Asbury Stone that I estimated to be born in abt 1803 as the son of Uriah Stone who was the son of William and Ann Stone whose will was proabated in McMinn and Jackson Counties, TN in 1819. William's will names Asbury as the son of Uriah, who is one of the sons of William. There is some connection to Newberry County,SC as Uriah's sister Jane, (my ancestor) married a Thomas Spearman there abt 1795. I have been trying to locate these families for some time, this is the first time I have seen Asbury's name mentioned anywhere other than William's will.
