Hello, I am in search of any data whatsoever about James Stone, born about 1808 in VA, and his wife Mary (surname unknown). They are listed thusly on the 1850 Patrick County VA Census: 19 August 1850 Southern District: 160 Farmer $400 James Stone 42 VA Mary 32 " Lucinda 12 Eliza A 10 William 7 Mary J 6 Catharine 5 Nellie 2 Mary Stone 50 So far I have not been able to locate this James and Mary Stone (I am not including the second Mary Stone here, whom I assume was James' sister) on the 1860, 1870 or 1880 Patrick County Censuses (Censi?). What makes this even more challenging, though, is that in the Northern District in the 1850 census is another James and Mary Stone (both 35)! I imagine this James must have been kin to Tandy Stone since they had a 2 year old son by that name in 1850, but I suppose my James could also been a collateral part of the Tandy Stone family. I am descended from James and Mary from their daughter Lucinda, who married John Bryant about 1860 in VA. I apologize for the length of this message.
