Hello List, I am new to this list and need proof that Penelope Candice Stone was "indeed" the daughter of J. Osborne Stone and Nancy Jane Flournoy. J. OSBORNE2 STONE (OSBORN1) was born February 02, 1822 in Georgia, and died at sea. He married NANCY JANE FLOURNOY December 28, 1847 in Barbour County, Alabama, daughter of JAMES FLOURNOY and JANE SKAGGS. She was born 1832 in Anson Co., North Carolina, and died Abt. 1865 in Mississippi. Notes for J. OSBORNE STONE: Died on a ship and was buried at sea. Do not know if he was a sailor, or if it was when they were coming here from France. There is a discrepancy in this birth date. It is listed elsewhere as November 22, 1822. She married JOSEPH ANDREW MEEKS January 27, 1874 in Clarke County, Mississippi, son of JOHN MEEKS and ELIZABETH CHESTNUT. He was born February 02, 1848 in Jasper County, Mississippi, and died September 13, 1914 in Pulaski Co., AR.
