Hello Stone Researchers, I am trying to find out any information on my 2Great-grandmother MAE STONE. She is listed as the mother of my Great-grandmother Nellie Mae Turner. All attempts to find any information about Mae has been futile; no birth record, no marriage record, no death record, no census listing [for areas of residences known], etc. But this is what I do know. I have no idea where Mae STONE was born or when. I have no information on her parents or siblings. Mae died between November 1898 and May 1900. Her last child was born in Nov. 1898 and her husband, Henry Turner is listed as a widower on the 1900 Hancock Co., WV census. Mae STONE married Wilbur Henry Turner about 1888 - 1991, based on the birth dates of her children. I was always told that my GGM Nellie Mae Turner was her fourth child. But this may be an error. Nellie Mae TURNER was born August 14, 1892 in Winifrede, Kanawha Co., WV. Her birth record lists her father as W.H. Turner, occupation Miner. The mother is not listed on the birth record, however, the record indicates that the birth info was provided by the mother. Nellie was married in Brooke County WV. She later removed to Columbiana Co., OH and later to Cleveland OH where she died in 1967. Other children of Mae and Wilber Henry Turner include: --- Della Turner, born May 1895 --- Stella Turner, Della's twin --- Mamie Turner, born July 1897 --- Oliver C.
