couple of suggestions for your grandma you can't find. Get out the map and see where the roads go from where you know she was to points north and look there. Also look east as she her family may have been in VA and sided with the North in the Civil War so they may have come from that direction. Also look at all the neighbors and see where THEY and their families came from and look in THOSE places for her. Also look for naming pattern of her kids and her grandkids and try to figure out where the first names came from. Then check the IGI for THOSE Christian names with a STONE surname and see if any turn of in the towns you already suspect! Also if you see a first name which looks like a surname...check those family history books to see if you find her in one of those. Good luck! Bergetta
