There are several Micajah Stones in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia. Look at the Grayson County, VA census records. If you don't have them, I have some and can forward the information on the Micajah that is listed. There is a line with Jeremiah, Micajah, Stephen, Richard, et al. Wayne, I have a Micajah Stone in my family, It was the name of my grandfathers father. Micajah's wife was Leona Madora Albright. Micajah died Oct. 28,1911 an dLeona died June 11, 1906 My grandfather (James Robert) was raised by his wifes mother (Jane Albright).She was a midwife at Hewitt, Boone Co., WV. I did a quick search of the CD I have. There are only two instances of Hiram and none of the children, spouses, etc. match. Any other information to try? Can anyone help me with info on Thomas Jefferson Stone, b. according to census records 1847 in N.C., married Ann Elizabeth Pierce in Madison County, TN., died in Lauderdale Co., TN.Died February 3, 1907 and buried at Young Cemetery, Crockett County, TN. He was from NASH COUNTY, NC and was in Junior Reserves according the Pension papers. He served in Johnson's Army and received his discharge at Greensboro, NC at close of war. She says he had a brother named John Stone in Nash County in 1921. Samuel Whitfield and W.H. Rinfrow were wittnesses. S.Creth Edwards, Spring Hope, NC, RFD #2, and A.B. Sutton sworn to his military service. He first appears in Tennessee in Madison County in the Household of T. Pearce as a laborer. in 1870. Thomas J. (Jefferson Stone) is my great grandfather. Robyn - My grandfather, William (?) Stone was born in CT - don't know what CO. He and his parents moved to Wayne CO, PA. After serving in the civil war, he maried & raised a family of 7 in Starrucca, Wayne CO. He died there in 1888. His only surviving son was Lyman, who ended up in Oregon.
