Good morning, Ezekiel STONE is my focus today. Ezekiel Stone. Born on 3 Dec 1679 in Milford, New Haven, CT, US.1,10 Ezekiel died in Milford, New Haven, CT, US on 22 Nov 1744; he was 64.1,8 Buried in Milford, New Haven, CT. Looking at the date of his birth I would assume that his family must have come over in the early 1600's, I am searching for his father and mother also just where did they start their journey from? I want to thank all of you who have responded to my requests for help over the past 2 to 3 years in solving the mystery of my grandfather, Harry E. Stone. Harry appeared in the New Albany/Columbus, Ohio area, and at age 34 or 35 in 1908 married my grandmother, Allie May Williamson who was only 17. Harry was killed in 1910 when a horse he was riding shied and backed onto the tracks of a fast moving street car. My father, Sylvester Stone was only 9 months old and Harry never told Allie (also called Alice) anything about his family or his past. He always seemed secretive. He had said that he was born in Holmes County, Ohio (still not verified) and it was reported that in the newspaper at the time of his death that he was a native of West Virginia. That is all that I knew about Harry. One picture of Harry has been my only treasured link to my "Stone" name. In the last three weeks, thanks to some wonderful people in Idaho, Texas and Utah who responded, I have verified through pictures still in their families that the mystery has been solved. I now have a family and ancestors to identify with. Thanks to another person who responded we are now on our way to tracing my family roots to England. Please encourage all your friends and relatives to write names and dates on family pictures. This is so very important. I have also learned to never give up even when you reach a brick or "Stone" wall in your research. I am so excited. I continue to seek information and verify names, places and dates and ask for your continued help if any of my Stones are found in your research. My ggrandfather, Addison B. Stone, b.7-29-1844 in PA, married his 2nd wife, Fannie Roberson, b. 1861 in Norborne, Carroll Co. MO, on June 7, 1885 in Las Vegas, NM. They had 2 children: Addison Borden Stone, b.Feb, 1886, and Mary Logan Stone,b.1887, both born near San Diego, CA. I'm trying to find out what happened to these 2 children . I have an Elizabeth Stone born about 1844 --- daughter of JOSEPH STONE (b 1810, Patrick Co, VA) and SARAH DILLEN (b 1805 ?). Joseph was the son of EUCEBIOUS STONE and THEODOSIA NUNN. I know nothing more of Elizabeth, but can give you some ancestry on this line if it seems to fit. Bill Stone

It always nice to hear from a new cousin! My 5th gr grandfather was Thomas Stone of Prince Wm Co VA. His daughter Elizabeth m. Zachariah Bradfield Sr. There were atleast 3 generations of Zachariahs. I've been researching Thos and his descendants ever since and have a wealth of info that I need to get into book form. I do plan to publish a Thos Stone genealogy just have no time line yet. Also I highly recommend Donald G. Armstrong's BRADFIELD GENEALOGY published in 2000. There is a section in there with notes on Zachariah Bradfield of Prince Wm Co VA and other misc. Bradfields. This is available through the Newbury St Press which is part of the New England Historical Genealogical Society (www.newenglandancestors.org). I would be most interested in your line of descent and what you know of your early Bradfields and Stones. I am off to Salt Lake City the end of Jan on my annual research tour ....every new clue helps so anything you might know might open a door. Looking forward to hearing from you.
