My paternal family originate from that area. My grandfather Coenraad W.F. Stoltz farmed between Laersdrift and Roosenekal on the Modderspruit. My great grandfather, Willem Johannes had a farm, Bultfontein, on the Witpoortspruit, near the confluence with the Steelpoort river. This was the family farm and has been past down from his father, Gabriel Jozef Petrus Stoltz. I have much of the names of the family, thanks to a bible (that have unfortunately been lost), that had inscriptions front and back, that I copied about 20 years ago.
